1971 Triumph Stag
four-seater, 3 litre V8 classic convertible sports car finished in White.
Built by the Triumph Motor Company in Coventry the Stag is considered by many to be one of the most attractive post-war British built cars. This is largely due to its attractive styling by Italian designer Giovanni Michelotti. The car also featured Triumphs own 3.0 litre V8 engine, delivery 145bhp and a top speed of 118mph.
The Triumph Stag was designed to be a luxury sports car to compete directly with the Mercedes-Benz SL class models. The result was ahead of its time, with power-assisted steering and electric windows as standard.
The Stag’s enduring popularity is due to its performance, comparative rarity and its Michelotti styling. The problems associated with the car over the years have been solved by those enthusiast clubs supporting the Stag, elevating this classic to its intended place in popularity envisioned by its designers. Our Stag still has its factory original Triumph V8 engine, which has been painstakingly rebuilt.
This chauffeur driven Stag is available for hire for your special event and can be provided with a bottle of complimentary champagne, and colour coordinated ribbons and bows.
A 1970 Stag appeared in the James Bond Film ‘Diamonds are Forever,’ and ensured that the Stag maintained its air of glamorous sportiness to this day. You too will experience the air of dashing chic as you arrive in style to your special event.
